libgpod4 software package provides library to read and write songs and artwork to an iPod, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgpod4
libgpod4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgpod4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgpod4 *
You will get with libgpod4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
